
Activities in Mizumoto Park
There are many activities that you can enjoy in Mizumoto Park, such as BBQ, canoeing, cycling, jogging, eating ice creams and having picnics, fishing, playing Frisbee,
taking your dog to the dog run area, playing guitar all by yourself, listening to songs of beautiful birds, reading a book and taking a nap on the grass feeling the warm sun.
Whether if you are alone or with friends, just being in this park makes you feel relaxed and enjoy the slow time. Each season of the year, Mizumoto Park shows us a different face. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom beautifully around the park and inside the park, there are around 1,300 trees including cherry blossom (Sakura) ones.
Summer Festival in June
In summer, we can see lovely Irises (flowers) and enjoy the Iris festival. In fall, many trees such as Ginkgo, Poplar, Maple trees color the park with warm yellow and red. In winter, you can meet adorable water birds such as ducks, kingfisher and water rail. Every time you visit this park, it gives you a warm welcome and makes you feel so comfortable.
Access
Mizumoto Park is located near Kanamachi station (JR Joban line) which is about 30
minutes away from the Tokyo station. From the station, you can either take a bus or walk for about 20 minutes to the park. Other than the park, you can also visit the Edo River which is about 10 minutes walking from the station (20 minutes from the park), and Shibamata area which is famous for the movie Tora-san, where you can enjoy nostalgic atmosphere in traditional shopping streets and Taishakuten (Buddhist temple).
